Short-Wave Near-Infrared Spectroscopy for Rapid Quantification of Acidity of Aviation Kerosene
نویسندگان
چکیده
The application of short-wave near-infrared spectroscopy (SW-NIRS) in acidity of aviation kerosene was described on the term of chemometrics. This spectral region is interesting because this type of spectrometer reduces costs in comparison with traditional long-wave near-infrared (LW-NIR) instrument. The SW-NIR calibration models of aviation kerosene were established by partial least square regression (PLS). Satisfactory calibration statistics were obtained with a standard error of calibration (SEC) of 0.028 mgKOH/100mL and a standard error of prediction (SEP) of 0.036 mgKOH/100mL. A t-test showed that the NIRS model had an accuracy equivalent to that of GB/T 264-91, which was equal to ASTM D 847, in the analysis of acidity of aviation kerosene. The NIRS method had the advantages of rapid analysis, better repeatability, little simple, and online analysis, etc.

Potential of Visible and Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Pattern Recognition for Rapid Quantification of Notoginseng Powder with Adulterants
Notoginseng is a classical traditional Chinese medical herb, which is of high economic and medical value. Notoginseng powder (NP) could be easily adulterated with Sophora flavescens powder (SFP) or corn flour (CF), because of their similar tastes and appearances and much lower cost for these adulterants. The objective of this study is to quantify the NP content in adulterated NP by using a rapi...

Chemical assessments of forage clearly determine the forage quality; however, traditional methods of analysis are somehow time consuming, costly, and technically demanding. Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) has been reported as a method for evaluating chemical composition of agriculture products, food, and forage and has several advantages over chemical analyses such as conducting c...
متن کاملRapid Identification of Petroleum Products by Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has been successfully utilized for the rapid identification of six typical petroleum products such as light straight-run (LSR), naphtha, kerosine, light gas oil (LGO), gasoline, and diesel. The spectral features of each product were reasonably differentiated in the NIR region, and the spectral differences provided enough qualitative spectral information for disc...
